Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay
Awarded a prize in the USA by Mohawk paper mills and a gold medal in the 25th National Print Awards. Bound for Edition Renard. The binding of this edition was barely commenced before being cancelled "due to the 2008 financial crisis". Unbound copies in various states were eventually returned to Edition Renard. We used Tara tanned feral Goat from Packer leather which they tanned to our specifications. The leather actually has automotive specifications as well as being archival. After the binding was cancelled, we used some of it to upholster one of our vehicles. The book was edge gilded and tooled using genuine 23kt gold which we luckily sourced from the archives of Swifts in the USA just before they closed with the death of Mr Swift. Because of this and because the Tannery no longer manufactures this leather due to cost, this edition in its prize winning format bound by us, most likely will never be finished.
