Debossing

Making a recessed depression on an item. Debossing is usually done while foil stamping but can be done in blind or using a shiny clear foil without any colour or no finish at all. The later can be extremely tactile  almost to the point of invisibility whilst the former can be quite extravagant. An engraved die is required for this process.
