traditional books We have upgraded our Roland LED 300 UV printer to the latest 330 model
  18 months ago we were the first in Australia and one of the first in the world to purchase the 300 and similarly with the 330. This along with our new Mimaki will make our on demand UV section unique in its ability to provide creative print on demand. The inks it uses are environmentally friendly, as we strive to lower our carbon footprint.
We are extremely happy with this machine and the back up service provided by Roland

Bound in specially commisssioned leather by us. It took 0ver 1000 skins to even obtain the few hundred the client ordered but never proceeded with after selling his first orders leaving us holding the remainder.This is not the first time this client has done this.

 
Congratulations to MTM on winning the tender to manage Melbourne's trains.
We were heavily involved in the production of the submissions for all stages of this tender. These were UV printed on Holliston Luminiare Pearl Drop with fluorescent colours, in house by us, using the latest UV LED technology, and handsomely boxed using unprinted luminiare pearl drop as the covering material for the boxes.

The trading name and website as well as essential machinery and IT records of Apollo-Moon Bookbinders  have been acquired by Whites Law Bindery. We are currently upgrading the old web site and investing substantially in upgrading the log on system for libraries.


Our plant had already been substantially upgraded in the last 6 months before this purchase.

It appears that at this stage that we are the only bookbinders in Melbourne that have invested in the full range of sewing facilities from AMCOA oversewing, to cleat and section sewing, that are able to sew any form of binding that a library may require. Sewing is essential for the heavy wear that a library book experiences.

Consequently, we seek the support and loyalty from the A/M customers in these difficult times. Those libraries that have passwords to book in work online can continue to use that service

The work has won Gold in the Australian National Print Awards and also the prestigious Heidelberg award for excellence in print and all round production. This is the third time in 10 years that a commission that we have bound has won the Heidelberg award for excellence. The publication has subsequently won diamond (top level) in the Victorian Pica Printing awards.
